Tsumagoi Work&Camp charters its whole 1,444m site in Tsumagoi, Gunma, Japan to one group at a time, for company retreats, training camps, filming and events. It holds 30 indoors and 50 in all at flat rates by guest band: for up to 30 guests, a day (9:00–18:00) is ¥120,000 and a night in tents (12:00–11:00 next day) is ¥180,000, with weekend and peak-season surcharges. How the price works

A flat rate per night: ¥180,000 up to 30 guests, ¥250,000 for 31–50. Weekend and seasonal surcharges resolve per night. Stays of 2+ nights get the same multi-night ladder as camping: −5% (2 nights), −10% (3–5), −12% (6), −15% (7+).

51 or more is by enquiry (a guide: from ¥300,000 for a day). The quote includes opening the outside public toilet (required), the management fee, waste disposal and the rest. Up to 150 people in all.
From 51 people we open the outside public toilet (on its own septic tank, apart from the building): an opening fee of ¥30,000 a day (¥45,000 from 101 people) and a cleaning deposit of ¥30,000, refunded when it is returned clean.
The price is for the size you book. Fewer people on the day means no reduction and no refund. Adding people up to 7 days before is the normal price; extra people on the day who were not added are the next size up +20%.
Companies contract in writing and pay by invoice. Individuals and groups contract in the representative's own name, show ID, and pay in full before the event date.
A guide price and its terms hold for 30 days from the day we give them. The date is held once the deposit is paid. Once signed, the price stays as contracted, however late the event date.

You can stay the night too

Attendees camping overnight: each group stays at the camping rates — All-in Camp ¥7,200 for the first adult and ¥4,200 for each further adult per night, Field only ¥5,200 and ¥2,200. On a cold night we recommend the All-in Camp, with the 24-hour Kotatsu Lounge and showers (for events of 51 or more, ask us first).
Tents and sleeping bags to rent: Rentals: book 2 days ahead if you can — same day works when the item is free, just ask on LINE first.
Overnight plan: stay on and keep the whole site until 11:00 the next day (tents on the grass field, or sleeping in vehicles in the big car park; nobody sleeps in the building). Up to 50 guests it is the overnight charter (from ¥180,000 a night); 51 or more by enquiry.
Setup and teardown days: 50% of the size's day price, per day.
Stay on to 23:00 on a day charter: 25% of the venue price (up to 30 guests ¥30,000, 31–50 ¥45,000).

Up to 50 people, the building's septic tank serves the group. From 51, we open the outside public toilet, which has its own septic tank, and quote by enquiry. Whatever the size, we host one group, properly.

Seven days a week. Charters run any day, Tuesday and Wednesday included.
Thursday to Monday, any date without a public booking is yours.
Once your event is confirmed, the site closes to all other guests — your group, a host on site, nothing else on the mountain.
Requests up to 12 months ahead. Events always take the calendar first.

Fire circle. Work talk belongs at the desk; by the fire, talk about nothing much. A day charter keeps it going to 23:00 with the evening extension, or stay the night in tents.

Charter includes the kitchen, gym, the Kotatsu Lounge, showers and BBQ areas. AV is a 65-inch TV with HDMI plus a small backup projector; there are no large whiteboards. Ask us about filming or live streaming.
Weekend & seasonal surcharges
Fri, Sat, Sun and holiday eves, and July–September (summer) and October (autumn foliage), each add 25% of the day price (¥30,000 up to 30 guests, ¥45,000 for 31–50; per day or per night). A day charter runs 9:00–18:00; staying on is one figure until 23:00, whatever the hour — 25% of the venue price (¥30,000 up to 30, ¥45,000 for 31–50) — and nobody stays after 23:00. Manza Onsen

~10–15 min via the Manza Highway (15 in snow)

Kusatsu Onsen

~50–60 min via Mihara (year-round route, estimate)

Drive times are estimates: Manza per the Tsumagoi tourism association (longer in snow), Kusatsu via the year-round Mihara route. The direct R292 route past Manza closes in winter and can close at short notice on volcanic-alert changes, so plan Kusatsu transfers via Mihara. The Manza Highway is a toll road (cash only, no ETC).

A deposit of 50% of the estimated total (minimum ¥50,000) confirms your date. Until the deposit is paid, dates are held tentatively for 7 days.

The balance is invoiced and due 30 days before the event day (bank transfer or card).

One free date change (within 6 months) if requested 30+ days before the event. Changes inside 30 days are treated as a cancellation. If you cancel after a date change, cancellation fees are calculated against the original event date.

If we close the venue because of weather warnings, disasters or an order from the authorities, we first offer one free move to another date within 6 months. If no date works, we refund what you paid, less costs we have already incurred (consequential costs such as travel or equipment are not covered). Ordinary rain or bad weather is not a reason to cancel or refund.

No neighbors for 7 km.

Open Days go quiet at 22:00. A full-venue charter does not.
