Stopped for a breather? Leave a little support.

Plenty of people pull over here on the Manza Highway: for the view, and a breather on the deck. When you do, there is one thing we ask.

See the goal and chip in

One drink or one snack. That is the best support there is.

Canned and bottled drinks, and packaged snacks

To use it, please buy a drink or snack inside first.

Not a restaurant: no cooked meals, no alcohol for sale.

What keeps this place running

This is not a public rest stop. It is a small campground and coworking space. All of it is looked after by one person: Kenji.

  • No sewer up here: a septic tank keeps it clean.

  • No mains water either: an electric pump lifts it up from below the mountain.

  • The pump room is insulated and kept warm, all winter long.

  • The hot water is heated with kerosene.

  • The rooms are heated by cold-climate heat pumps.

The building is insulated and double-glazed, and Sennin Kenji put in the heating himself.

What we are raising for

On the days you cannot come by, you can still help online: buy Sennin Kenji support stickers, and what you pay goes toward this goal.
