The 7 km dividend

What you CAN do here

Handheld fireworks — yes

Handheld/toy fireworks welcome — most campgrounds ban them; we have no neighbors for 7 km.
Launched and rocket types are not allowed (handheld and fountain types only).
Use the designated gravel area with a bucket of water; call it off in strong wind. Cold embers go in the ash cans.

BYO tent sauna — yes

Bring-your-own tent sauna welcome — stove, firewood, and cold-plunge tub are all yours to bring.
We do not provide, rent, or operate any sauna (operator-provided bathing needs a Public Bath House Act permit).
Pitch well away from tents, keep a water bucket at the stove, embers to the ash cans, and never sauna alone.

Stargazing, all night

Almost no artificial light for 7 km — on clear nights the Milky Way is naked-eye visible.
Telescopes and star trackers welcome. Aim for new-moon weekends.

Drones — yes

Drone flights welcome (outside any DID / populated-area zone).
Registration, Remote ID, line-of-sight, under 150 m — Aviation Act compliance is the pilot’s responsibility. Night flight needs separate approval.
Please don’t overfly other guests.

Charter days: no volume limit

No quiet hours on full-venue charter days — amps, karaoke, fire-circle talks past midnight.
No neighbors within 7 km means nobody to disturb — a claim no nearby campground can make.
On Open Days (public days), quiet hours 22:00–08:00 apply.

Check-in is Fri, Sat & Sun only, after 12:00.
You may stay through Mon–Thu, but your first arrival must be on an allowed day. Mondays are checkout-only (by 11:00).
The entrance is auto-locked; your day code arrives via LINE.
Check-out by 11:00, please.

Parking & Car Stay

Spacious lot (100+ spaces, free).
You may drive onto the field — 4WD only, and entry is at your own risk. If stuck, call your own JAF; the ranch does not tow. Do not leave a vehicle on the field.
Car-camping is free choice in the big carpark (5 vehicles/night, no numbered bays) — book Car Stay. Overnight on the field is Camp price.
No dedicated bay pedestal. Pull from the pump-room outer wall with your own 20m+ outdoor cord (paid, cap 2). No electric heaters.
After dark, vehicle movement is exit-only — the field is unlit.
The grounds are unpaved — walking pace on gravel and grass. Punctures or vehicle damage from pegs and debris aren’t compensated; spot something sharp, tell the host.

Fire, wildlife & emergencies

Fire

Fire stand required, no open ground fires.
Cold ash and charcoal go in the ash cans by the entrance — not in the rubbish bags.
Three extinguishers: work area, entrance, and the outdoor yard.

Smoking

No smoking anywhere indoors (heated tobacco and vapes included).
Outdoors, smoke by the ash cans or carry a portable ashtray — a dropped butt on dry grass is how field fires start.
The fuel yard and the kerosene tank area on the building’s north side are strict no-fire zones — no smoking there either.

Wildlife

Bears, snakes, wasps and other wildlife may visit.
Don't leave food or trash in your tent — keep it in your car or the office.
Bear spray welcome if you have one.

Emergencies

Fire / Medical: 119 · Police: 110 · Host: 070-8459-3512
Nearest 24h hospital: Nishi-Agatsuma Fukushi Hospital (0279-83-7111). Call 119 first in an emergency — it is a mountain road, and winter conditions change the drive substantially.
At night or when staff are away, call 119 / 110 first for any danger. The host phone / LINE answers on a best-effort basis — an instant reply isn’t guaranteed.

Valuables

Please lock valuables in your car rather than leaving them in your tent.
Cameras monitor the entrance and shared areas. Report anything suspicious to the host on LINE.

Water & facilities

Water

Our water is pumped up from a well at the foot of the mountain.
Passed the official 11-item water-quality test on Aug 8, 2026 (Gunma Analysis Center — every tested item within the standards; certificate on display). Prefer bottled water? Bring your own, or the unmanned store has drinks.
It’s a well, so never leave taps running. Long showers, extra guests, or heavy rain and drought can mean outages or cloudy water — tell the host if anything seems off.

Power

Phone and laptop charging is free — use any outlet in the building.
Electric space heaters, hair dryers, and your own cooking appliances don’t go in the building outlets — the mountain grid runs the building (paid AC is the two pump-room spots; ranch FF diesel heater allowed).
Event sound and lighting draw from designated circuits within the published Power Budget of 2.0 kW (provisional). Above that, bring a pre-approved very-low-noise inverter. We do not rent a production battery.
If a breaker trips, reset it once; if it trips again or shows a leak warning, call the host. We can’t cover damage to your gear from outages or grid blinks. No EV charging.

Shop

Ice, snacks, cup noodles, microwave meals, soft drinks, and canned drinks in the shared kitchen.
Alcohol is not sold on-site — please buy before you arrive.
Basic seasoning is on hand; bring your favourites so nothing falls flat.
Pay by PayPay or drop cash in the box. Unmanned — please don't forget to pay!

Pets, quiet hours & waste

Garbage

Take-home is preferred.
On-site disposal uses official Tsumagoi Village bags (large), one bag per stream, ¥500 each: burnable (yellow, 60L) / non-burnable cans (clear, 40L) / non-burnable glass (clear, 40L).
Food scraps, paper, plastics, and PET go in burnable (empty and rinse lightly — labels and caps too). Cans and glass ride in separate bags; mixed bags can’t be collected.
Three streams = three bags (¥1,500). Ash goes in the ash cans; batteries, oversized items, and household trash go home with you.
Garbage left behind or unsorted is billed at the actual cost of collection, sorting, and haulage — minimum ¥15,000 per party.

Where you sleep

Tents on the field, vehicles in the big carpark — nobody sleeps indoors.
A Car Stay (Stopover) booking means sleeping inside your vehicle in the big carpark (5 vehicles/night). Overnight on the field is Camp price. Pitching a tent? That’s a Camp booking.
Office access comes with Work&Camp; Camp and Car Stay guests can add it for ¥2,000/person/night (showers ¥500/session, paid on site).

Capacity & headcount

Open Days run at 5 groups / 40 guests per night, events at 50 — the honest ceiling of a mountain well and septic system.
Headcount means everyone who uses the water and toilets, whatever their age — a child counts as one guest at the same rate as an adult. There is no child rate.
Entry is for the booking party as declared; bookings can’t be resold or transferred.
Undeclared companions are charged ¥8,000/person/night on top of the stay rate.

Pets welcome

The whole field is pet-friendly — well-behaved dogs welcome.
Keep pets on leash in shared areas; never leave them unattended in the office or kitchen.
Pick up after your pet; don't leave food where wildlife can reach it.
You are responsible for any disturbance to other guests or local animals.

Quiet Hours

On Open Days, please keep it down 22:00–08:00 — lights down too.
Showers close at 22:00 with quiet hours (toilets stay open 24h).
Staff patrol the grounds during quiet hours. Noise that continues after a warning can end a stay — without refund.
Let's share the stars and the quiet.
On full-venue charter days, quiet hours are lifted — the mountain belongs to one group.

Rule violations & removal

Rule issues get a warning first — we ask you to fix it. If it continues after the warning, the stay can end with no refund.
Immediate removal, no warning, no refund: open fires outside a fire stand or in no-fire zones, quiet-hours noise continuing after a warning, violence or endangering others, refusing staff safety instructions.
