The story of this place

After more than 20 years working in Singapore, I was tired of city life and came back to Japan around 2024. I took up camping, but driving out of Tokyo every Friday or Saturday and crawling home through Sunday traffic was torture. So we set out to make one place where you can work and camp at the same time. Around August 2025 we found an abandoned ranch resthouse, and my wife and I spent about a year bringing it back. We cleared out the rodents and insects, put in two Daikin commercial heat pumps for heating, and slept through winter nights in a tent pitched inside the building.

Add-ons
  • + tent pitching by the hermit ¥3,000 (on request)
